First Steps
1977
1979-1984
- Age 3: took first steps on ice on the streets of my birth city Miercurea-Ciuc, Romania.
- Perfected my skills on the tennis court across our street, which became an ice rink in the winter when the temperature could drop to 30 degrees.
1979-1984
- First real breakthrough when my mother took me to the local skating rink. I was immediately selected for the competition team.
