Manouk Gijsman 2005 - 2010
Manouk Gijsman has been my first major project, starting with a young skater and guiding her towards the high level of international figure skating circuit. From the moment that we started to work together 2005 until 2010, she has been selected into the National team and has won every single year the Dutch national title in her category where she competed, Debs, Novice , Junior and Senior.
On international level, together we reached the final in all three major competitions Junior Worlds 2010 Den Haag , European Championship 2009 Helsinki, World Championships 2010 Torino, and she was in top ten at Junior Grand Prix.

Batumi Georgia 2010
The most interesting and challenging project that I ever took part was in Batumi, Georgia, om the icerink with reduced surfice of 25 x 55 m, where young skaters age between 9 and 12, from Batumi and Zugdidi, together with their coaches, we have been working daily on and off ice to lay down the basic fundaments for the upcoming Adjarian figure skating school. We started from basics skating skills to complex step sequences, jumps, spins and program structures for all levels. Beside the on and off ice program we established a basic collection of exercises that are continuing to practice until my return when we going to build further from where we left. This is a long term project that is divided in chapters so the skaters and coaches have the opportunity to learn and to understand the elements that they intending to pass on the further generation of Georgian skaters and skating instructors. Thank you for the support of the sponsors and the close interest of the local govarnament for the sport development in the region, who made it possible for this project to happen.
South Africa 2010
Hello Africa, tell me how you doing. I had the privilege to witness the preparation for the Fifa world cup 2010 and to teach 12 skaters from Johannesburg and Durban the art of figure skating. This project has been a contribution to the South African figure skating on club level, where skaters from different clubs, together with their coaches had the opportunity to join the really early morning lessons and the afternoon off ice and on ice programs. As in any of my projects my intention is not only to teach the skaters but to share my accumulated knowledge and experience with the coaches as well, who will stay home and will continue to further teach their student. The meaning of this projects are based on mutual respect for each others work and share of information for a better understanding the art of teaching figure skating. Thank you for the organizers of the camp, sponsors, coaches, parents and local club who made it possible that this camp had became from a project a great camp.
